2005年10月6日至16日，美国普林斯顿大学Garry L.Brown教授受邀来中国科学院力学研究所进行访问。期间，Brown教授饶有兴趣地参观了高温气体动力学重点实验室（LHD），与多位知名教授进行了沟通和交流，并于13日和14日上午分别做关于高超声速高雷诺数风洞技术和湍流边界层多孔冷却技术的报告。
