油桐(Vernicia fordii)油桐是我国四大木本油料树种,桐油是制造环保型涂料的优质原料。油桐生长快,但抗逆性较差,在生长过程中极易遭受病虫害危害,导致油桐林大面积死亡,桐油的产量和品质也受到极大影响,急需通过分子育种技术培育出具有特定抗性的油桐新品种。但是,油桐的遗传转化技术体系尚未建立,油桐的重要基因功能只能在拟南芥、烟草等模式植物中验证,严重制约了油桐的分子育种进程。
