生物支架在组织工程中得到广泛应用，其植入后机体产生的免疫反应对植入物发挥正常功能至关重要。适当调节巨噬细胞M1/M2极化平衡是调控支架植入后的免疫反应，并保证其发挥正常功能的关键。2024年12月5日，中国科学院理化技术研究所郭燕川研究团队依托“国家重点研发计划”在“脱细胞羊膜对巨噬细胞M1/M2极化平衡的调控研究”方面取得进展。
2022年4月12日，基础医学院程金科教授实验室在Cell Reports发表了题为“SENP1-Sirt3 signaling promotes α-ketoglutarate production during M2 macrophage polarization” 的研究论文，报道了SENP1-Sirt3信号轴通过调控谷氨酰胺代谢促进α酮戊二酸产生和巨噬细胞M2型极化的新机制。
